Volunteer Firemaster
Looking for a volunteering role out in a unique forest? Do you love being helpful, creating a cosy, calm vibe and in the process spreading joy to our community? This could be the volunteering opportunity for you!
This is a volunteering position. We are looking for 4 volunteers for each weekend - you can apply to one weekend or as many as you'd like. Please specify availability in the cover letter section of your application.
What we offer:
The opportunity to be part of our fun team, with access to our unique events in a beautiful heritage pine forest near Sevenoaks, Kent.
Activities: During your time off over the three days, you can enjoy incredible drop-in activities, games, bands, talks, DJ’s, comedy and more!
You will be offered an Elementary ticket which enables you to participate in all drop-in activities, and some credited activities too"
Food: We will provide you 1 meal voucher per shift.
Rest: You will be given space to camp in the crew & artist campsite.
Dates & Times:
Camp Kindling - from 16th to 18th August (4h/day between 17:00 and 01:00)
Camp Wildfire I - from 23rd August to 25th August (4h/day between 17:00 and 01:00)
Camp Wildfire II - from 30th August to 1st September(4h/day between 17:00 and 01:00)
Your responsibilities
- Light & maintain a cosy campfire vibe each evening.
- Responsible for tending to the fire throughout the eve.
- Potentially help to cook marshmallows and smores.
- Extinguish the fire safely.
- Adherence to H&S requirements.
Desirable skills & experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Health & Safety Qualification (such as IOSH)
- Driving Licence
