We are looking for volunteer Firemasters to spark joy through leading a cosy vibe and safely maintaining the campfire in each camping area.
Looking for a volunteering role out in a unique forest? Do you love being helpful, creating a cosy, calm vibe and in the process spreading joy to our community? This could be the volunteering opportunity for you!
We are looking for 4 volunteers for each weekend - you can apply to one weekend or as many as you'd like!
What we offer:
The opportunity to be part of our amazing, fun team, with access to our unique events in a beautiful heritage pine forest near Sevenoaks, Kent, all now sold out!
Activities: During your time off over the three days, you can enjoy incredible drop-in activities, games, bands, talks, DJ’s, comedy and more!
You will be offered an access ticket which enables you to participate in all drop-in activities, a few credits for paid activities and you can purchase extra credits if you would like to enjoy any more of them.
Food: We will provide you 1 meal voucher per shift up to 5h or 2 meal vouchers for shifts of 6h or more hours.
Rest & Access: You will be given space to camp in the crew & artist areas.
Dates & Times:
Camp Kindling - from 15th to 17th August (4h/day on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, between 17:00 and 01:00)
Camp Wildfire I - from 22nd August to 24th August (4h/day on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, between 19:30 and 03:30)
Camp Wildfire II - from 29th August to 31st August (4h/day on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, between 19:30 and 03:30)
You will be required to arrive on site and be set up by Friday lunch time for a pre-briefing and uniform collection.
Your responsibilities
- Light & maintain a cosy campfire vibe each evening
- Responsible for tending to the fire throughout the evening
- Extinguish the fire safely at the end of the night
- Adherence to H&S requirements
- You can help to cook marshmallows and smores, if you’d like
- If you are so inclined, you can entertain and join in all the camp fire fun by singing, playing music, chatting with guests or whatever skills you can contribute to bring joy to camp!
Desirable skills & experience (not all strictly necessary)
- Experience with lighting, tending and extinguishing fires
- First Aid Certificate
- Health & Safety Qualifications
- Driving Licence
