As one of the Event Retail Assistants you will be serving customers and supporting the smooth-running of our festival-based retail operations. You will play a crucial role in creating a friendly and efficiently run retail environment (Wildkind Stores) across our 3 festival weekends for Camp Kindling & Camp Wildfire.

Rate: £12 per hour
Dates:
We are looking for a number of people to fill this role. It is preferred that you can work all 3 live event weekends, but not essential.
Setup: Wed 13 & Thur 14 Aug (optional shifts)
Camp Kindling: Fri 15 - Sun 17 Aug
Camp Wildfire #1: Fri 22 - Sun 24 Aug
Camp Wildfire #2: Fri 29 - Sun 31 Aug 2025
20 - 30 working hours per weekend (Fri, Sat & Sun shifts). Some extra shifts available for setup & stock take. Exact working hours to be discussed.
Location:
Live event days: A beautiful heritage pine forest near Sevenoaks, Kent
Pre-prep: Potentially some stock prep at our office in Elephant & Castle
Application Deadline: Midnight 26th May 2025
Food/Accom: If staying onsite, you will need to bring your own tent / live in vehicle. 1 meal provided from crew catering per onsite full working day.
Your responsibilities
- Wildkind Stores Assistant during live event weekends, dealing with and serving customers, re-stocking, keeping things tidy, ensuring things are running smoothly
- Being friendly and engaging with customers
- Helping with daily opening of Wildkind Stores and secure closing and lock up
- Support with stock splitting and stock management
- Sharing customer feedback on products, product range, pricing, new product ideas etc.
- Note: There is a fair amount of physical lifting involved with this role
Your skills & experience
- Experience working in face-to-face roles with customers inc. dealing with difficult customers
- Some experience of working within a festival, event, hospitality or retail environment
- Highly organised
- Flexible, adaptable and calm under pressure
Desirable skills & experience
- Experience working with children or families
- Some experience working in a retail / shop environment
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Driving Licence and comfortable driving
- Experience of working with Square / POS software
