Stage Hosts & Umpire
We're looking for charismatic, quick-witted hosts to work across a variety of stages/areas, including a more specific & performative position of Umpire in Patrol Games.
These varied host roles will be a mix of introducing acts, working the crowd, covering any set or timing changes, commentating, interviewing or just entertaining! Our stages each have their own character, and we want hosts to match. If you love a microphone and a crowd, we want to hear from you.
Key Information
- Rate: £150–£200/day (depending on stage & experience)
- Dates:
Kindling: 21, 22, 23 Aug
Wildfire: 28, 29, 30 Aug, 4, 5, 6 Sept
Open to applicants available for one or both festivals - Location: A beautiful heritage pine forest near Sevenoaks, Kent
- Application Deadline: Midnight on 5 June 2026

Your Responsibilities
- Introduce acts with charm, energy and a bit of flair
- Hold the crowd between sets — banter, bits, stories, a song if you've got one
- Read the room and ride the energy of the evening
- Work closely with the Stage Manager on timings and cues
- Research acts or the stage/role to be ready for the part
Your Skills & Experience
- Experience hosting a stage at a festival or similar live event
- You're at home with a microphone in front of a crowd
- Quick on your feet — comfortable improvising, ad-libbing, and handling things when they don't go to plan
- A warm presence that pulls people in
- Strong, clear voice and good timing
- Happy working evenings into the night
