Updates From HQ (Mar 2024)

Updated over 4 months ago

For our second update we have a few new things / improvements to tell you about. These have been enabled by so many people booking early this year; thank you for doing that and helping make Camp even better.

New Things

Reserved Camping 🏕️

If you have your own camping gear, want to reserve a space in advance and have the extra support of a reception team, we’re adding a Reserved Camping option. There will be a small extra charge for these pitches.

Porter Service 🧳

There will be a porter team available at General Camping to help you carry your things from your car to the campsite. There will be a small extra charge for this service payable on-site.

Lunch Packs 🍎

We will be introducing pre-paid grab-and-go lunch packs to make your lunch stops healthier, easier and cheaper. Full dietary information available at the point of purchase.

Help Guides 📺

We’re collating all the tips and tricks from previous attendees into a neat set of written and video guides to help you get the absolute most out of your Camp experience.

Improved Things

Live-In-Vehicle Pitches 🚐

We’ve upgraded the pitch sizes from 7x3m and 9x4m to 7x5m and 9x6m to give more space for awnings and chairs/tables. This applies to all current and future bookings.

Full Time Customer Service 🧑‍💻

We’re hiring a full-time customer service rep to improve our coverage and response times. They should be starting in April/May at which point we will open up support 10-6 every weekday. Eventually we will expand further to provide evening and weekend support hours.

Expanded Ranger Team ℹ️

Following the success of last year's trial, we are developing the Ranger Team to be even more helpful onsite.

More Facilities & Cleaning Teams 🚿

We’re adding even more toilets, showers and sinks to the campsites and activity/entertainment areas and are expanding the cleaning teams to provide even more coverage and convenience.

Enrolment System 🛶

We’re rebuilding the Enrolment software from the ground up; making it more intuitive for planning your weekend and to help you get the most out of your credits! If you’re interested in helping us test new features we will be launching a beta-testing club shortly.

Parent Friendly Concept

As Camp Kindling grows we are doubling down on making it even more parent friendly! Doing as many little extras as possible to remove any stresses and make parents experience as fun as it is for the kids 🥰

We want to bring parents the adventure of camping and the excitement of a festival, without any of the hassle.

Here are some key things we will be focusing on this year as part of that...

🚿 Great Facilities 🚿

Ensuring there are always plenty of clean toilets, warm showers, sinks and baby facilities for a comfortable and hygienic weekend.

📍 Nicely Sized 📍

Keeping parking, camping, activities and entertainment close together; and ensuring you're never too far from refreshments and facilities.

ℹ️ Helpful Team ℹ️

Whether you're a seasoned camper/festivaler or a complete rookie; our team is here to support you with anything you need.

💷 No Hidden Costs 💷

Activities and entertainment included with tickets. No hidden fees or extras. Reasonably priced food and drink.

⏰ No Wasted Time ⏰

Keeping an intimate capacity and adding more pre-booked activities to ensure you don't just spend your whole weekend queueing, and adding more drop-in activities to fill any spare moments in your schedule.

🛡️Safe & Sound 🛡️

A families-only event. Excellent stewarding, security and safety teams will keep you and yours safe while you adventure.

Thank you to everyone that’s been sharing their ideas and requests with us; we’re excited to be working on these improvements (and many other exciting things to be announced soon!)
